How to Use the Seating Chart Generator

Enter your table count and the seats each table holds, paste the guest list and press Generate. The plan fills table by table, keeping guests from the same group together, and lists anyone who does not fit.

What to enter

Tables is how many tables you have; set it to zero if you only want a plain order of guests.
Seats per table is the capacity of each table; this is the limit each table will respect.
Guest list takes one guest per line as name | group. The group is optional but keeps a party together.

How guests are placed

Guests are ordered by group so a party stays on the same table, then filled table by table. If your list is longer than all tables combined, the rest are listed as left over rather than being squeezed in.

Print the plan

Press Print / Save as PDF and choose your printer or "Save as PDF" in the print dialog. The form and buttons are hidden automatically so you get a clean copy for the venue.
